Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Phillips County Criminal History does not keep its own log or copy of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal duty.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can provide the server with routine technical details about the visit:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Small cookie files and analytics services help combine traffic patterns, such as popular pages and common exit points. A browser can reject cookies through its settings, although disabling them may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Phillips County Criminal History does not compile, retain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It identifies official channels such as the Phillips County Sheriff's Office, the county's courts, Arkansas State Police and ACIC, and the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles, and the site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted through those tools. Review the provider's policy before sending a query because this policy does not control its systems.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Phillips County sheriff, Arkansas courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this domain, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read those terms before providing personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used for collected data, but no internet system can guarantee perfect protection. Safeguards reduce risk without promising that a breach can never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A request may be made to remove information believed to have been submitted by a minor.
Your Data Rights
Ark. Code Ann. § 12-12-1509 gives a person a separate right to review and challenge criminal-history information held by the state repository. For visitor data controlled by this private site, a person may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
Revisions will be posted here and identified with a new effective date. Reviewing the current version is the best way to track changes in data practices.
